Abstract

The abundance of soil arthropods and beetle diversity according to habitat was studied based on three types of samples (leaf litter and soil mixed, leaf litter, and soil). A total of 75 samples were collected from June to August 2023: 25mixed, 25 leaf litter, and 25 soil samples from Gangwon State and Chungbuk Province. As a result of confirming the diversity of Coleoptera, the mixed sample showed the highest abundance, species richness, and Shannon diversity index among the three samples. We also discuss the possibility of the ecological use of the sifting method.
